MARCHELO VERA
Marchelo Vera is a Puerto Rican-American interdisciplinary artist, designer, and educator based between Philadelphia (USA) and Gwangju (South Korea). His practice investigates cultural landscapes through an autobiographical lens, tracing the rituals, traditions, and histories embedded in everyday routines, found objects, and urban environments. Working across print media, ceramics, installation, and design, Vera’s work fuses surface and space to map connections between place, memory, and identity. He has participated in residencies at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, Taller Puertorriqueño, and CIEE in Cuba, as well as programs in China and Japan. Exhibitions include Impact 11 International Printmaking Conference (Hong Kong), Dubai Design Week, Beijing International Design Week, Yajun Studio & Gallery (Shanghai), and Blue Canvas Art Gallery (Seoul).
