I see art as the bridge between what is seen and what is felt, with my work I aim to embrace structure and portray the feeling of familiarity. Recently I’ve found myself drawn to architecture and landscape, I hope to explore what makes these man made or natural structures so pleasing and awe-inspiring.
Lucy Henderson is a multi-medium visual artist who explores the relationship between texture, light, and emotion by creating work that flows seamlessly between realism and abstraction. Using traditional techniques along with a dynamic use of contrast, depth and vivid color palettes, her work captures moments that feel both intimate and otherworldly. Her artistic process is rooted in experimentation, utilizing layers, textures, and unexpected compositions to provoke emotion.
Obtaining her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2024, Lucy has been showcased in The Jane Gallery and CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia and continues to prepare for her upcoming Solo show ‘Cornerstone’ in August 2025.
